Racing
The Crew are broken down to perform a series of tasks that become the basic skills to build the working members of ‘The Team’. The team race the yacht round the course.
2005 Race Training Courses
Our Race Training Courses are designed for both the novice and the already
experienced racing crew.
The aim of these courses are to teach the ‘individual tasks’ needed
for the yacht to be raced efficiently, safely and competitively.
Each crew will learn the basic understanding of
the ‘defined tasks’ required by each member of
the team to race the yacht (competitively) as one.
Using our Reflex 38 Racing Yachts Cougar
& Cheetah; capable of speeds of 20 knots, Performance
Yachting can offer some exciting sailing.
Our racing courses offer a varienty of training grounds, from the sheltered
waters of the Plymouth Sound, along the beautiful Devon & Cornish coastline
to ports such as Falmouth and Salcombe to cross Channel Races to French Ports
such as St. Malo and Morlaix.

Our Racing Packages include four to five days of Race training then concluding
with a cross Channel Race and return sail back to Plymouth.
Race Package £580
The training week is split into classroom lectures and practical
sessions on the water including night sailing and finishing with a competitive
race. A sample of the topics covered are:-
