Fast Track Intensive Yachtmaster Course
Weeks 1 & 2 are practical weeks
for the students to gain familiarity with their new environment and work towards
the Competent Crew Certificate. The Diesel Engine Maintenance & VHF SRC
courses are included at the end of each week.
Week 3 is spent in the classroom
on Day Skipper theory.
Week 4 & 5 are back on the
water putting the theory learnt in the classroom to practise. First Aid &
the Sea Survival courses are included in these two weeks.
Week 6 is back to the classroom
for the Yachtmaster Offshore theory.
This 14 week full time course aims to take a relative novice to Yachtmaster
Offshore standard in one course. The program consists of twelve
weeks practical and two weeks theory training and covers all aspects required
to successfully complete the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster
Offshore examination
The January & September course's now include some
sailing in the Canary Islands. While the summer
course includes the race training package. Please
bare with us as we are currently making changes
to this site with regards to these courses.

Below is a typical program summary.

24th July to 29th October 2006
11th Sept to 17th December 2006
Course Fee £7,995
Price includes all food, accommodation, instruction and examination
fees.
Weeks 7/8 is the chance to build
up some mileage and go further afield to France or the Isles of Scilly.
Week 9 is spent practicing boat
handling skills and brushing up in preparation for the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper
exam.
Weeks 10,11,12
are spent building up experience and completing qualifying passages, these
weeks also include Radar and GPS Courses.
Weeks 13/14 polishing off the finer
techniques that has been learnt over the last 12 weeks. Concluding with the
RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Exam.
