The Fastnet Race is here again, the Grand National of Ocean racing.

On the morning of Sunday August 7th a spectacular site will be seen,
as a fleet of yachts race down the Solent towards the Needles at the start of this 608-mile Ocean race to round the Fastnet Rock. 

This race gives you the chance to do battle with the top racing crews and compete in one of the most fascinating races ever devised.

Performance Yachting are offering places onboard our Reflex 38 Racing Yacht Cheetah of Plymouth to be skippered by Bob Beggs (winning skipper of the Times Clipper round the world yacht race 2000. Just one amongst many wins).

The Fastnet 2005 Package includes:

Training Weekend.

6th – 8th May - Starting on the Friday evening with a friendly gathering over a drink in the bar. This will be a weekend for all the crew to meet and get familiar with the yacht and the skipper while out on the water. 

Choose two races from a choice of four to qualify.

Plymouth to St. Peter Port 27 – 29th May
Plymouth to St. Malo 9 – 12th June
Plymouth to Trebeurden 23 – 26th June
Plymouth to Morlaix 7 – 10th July

Sea Survival Course Sunday 31st July

The Fastnet Race
4th –14th August -  Leaving Plymouth on the Thursday for the sail to Solent. The Race starts on the Sunday morning off the Squadron line at Cowes. The next 6/7 days you and your team will race against Yachting’s elite, arriving in Plymouth to a Champagne finish.

The complete package £2,300.00.

Extra Training Come and complete one of our Race Training Courses prior to one of your qualifying races. For only £300 extra, you can join a course to give you that edge and confidence of a racing crew. Instructed by round the world racing skippers our Race Training Courses are split into classroom lectures & practical sessions on the water including night sailing, your week ends with a qualifying channel race, followed by the sail back to Plymouth.
