RYA Coastal Skipper Courses

Level: Coastal Skipper Practical
Previous experience necessary - You should have a knowledge up to Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster shorebased standard. Practical ability to Day Skipper level,
15 days onboard (2 days as skipper), 300 miles including 8 night hours.

This is the course for more advanced skippers. Covering a longer passage with more complex decision making on managing the yacht with reference to planning, navigation, pilotage, weather and yacht safety.
By the end of this course the successful Coastal Skipper will have sufficient knowledge to skipper a yacht safely on long coastal and offshore passages by day or night, in both tidal and non-tidal waters.

On successful completion of this course students will be awarded the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper Tidal Certificate.
